The UK's best tech jobs in 2015

The UK tech scene is booming. London has already seen the creation of two "unicorns"— startups with $1 billion-plus valuations — in the last two months. And unprecedented cash is pouring into the FinTech space. It's a great time for the industry, and those who work in it.

But of all of those currently employed in the UK technology industry, who has it the best? Job site Glassdoor has put together a listing of the 25 best jobs for 2015 in the UK — of which 6 are tech jobs.

To produce its ranking, it examined three factors: salary, opportunities for advancement, and open job listings. These are then combined into one "Job Score."

No. 6: UX Designer: £47,437

Career score: 3.5

Number of Job Openings: 260

Average Base Salary:£47,437

Career Opportunities Rating: 3.2

A UX designer builds the user interface of an app or software products — they're responsible for what ordinary people see when they use an app. 

There's currently an opening in UX design at IBM in London.



No. 5: Network Engineer: £40,023

Career score: 4.1

Number of Current Job Openings: 1,807

Average Base Salary:£40,023

Career Opportunities Rating: 3.4

A network engineer designs, builds, and maintains corporate networks. 

Phone network Vodafone is hiring.



No. 4: Solutions Architect: £66,349

Job Score: 4.1

Number of Job Openings: 957

Average Base Salary:£66,349

Career Opportunities Rating: 3.3

A solutions architect designs complicated tech projects like a big new software application, or the rollout of a new corporate IT system.

Amazon is currently hiring for a Solutions Architect.
